This Sunday, an opportunity to experience both Thames Valley and Great Western traction at the Didcot Transport Rally & Running Day. We'll be running free vintage bus services in association with Didcot Railway Centre, linking a display of vintage vehicles with Didcot Parkway station (and Railway Centre), and onwards to Wantage and Chilton.

Vehicles expected in service include: Thames Valley 446, our Bristol K6A; Reading Corporation 76, a Dennis Loline III; Western National 425, a Bristol SUL4A coach; and Southern National 1376, a Bristol LS6G coach. Unfortunately our 1927 GWR Guy FBB cannot be in attendance as hoped due to the late delivery of a new water rail casting for the engine. Its next planned public appearance is at the Severn Valley Railway’s 50th anniversary ‘On the Buses’ event on 6 September.
