TV&GWOT’s charitable objective is to educate, and in the process to entertain, the public in the history of public road passenger transport and in particular in the history of those companies and types of vehicles operated through the Thames Valley and Great Western road transport corridors – fro’ Paddington to Penzance!
Each year TV&GWOT organises a series of events such as vintage bus running days in towns across the region. The bumper programmes include newly researched articles on aspects of the local transport scene over the years, lavishly illustrated with old photographs and ephemera from the Trust’s Collection.
Beyond a record of the vehicles in service and the routes for the running day, these glossy programmes are of lasting interest earning their long-term keep on the bookshelves of transport scholars and enthusiasts alike.

To and fro’
TV&GWOT Supporters receive a high quality quarterly magazine To and fro’. Each edition runs to 36 pages and includes original articles relating to passenger transport history in the Thames Valley and the West Country with connecting services covered by Royal Blue research. The full colour magazines are extensively illustrated and include regular features like a spirited Editorial, Trust Traffic Notices, Any Questions and pictorial reviews of recent events. Copies for the current year are only available to Supporters but back numbers (where copies remain) can be purchased online.
