Our major restoration work is carried out at workshops near Maidenhead, Berkshire. Complete structural and mechanical rebuilds are undertaken on-site, and examples of vehicles at all stages of restoration are usually available to view. Several TV&GWOT Collection vehicles are also there alongside an archive and a meeting room in the Thames Valley’s former Maidenhead ticket office.

Further archives and our main museum facility are housed at premises near Kingsbridge in South Devon, where several of our vehicles are also based.

Typically, a Group Visit includes refreshments on arrival, an illustrated talk about the Trust tailored to the interests of the Group, a tour of the vehicles and workshops, then a buffet lunch followed by a short excursion in one of the vehicles in TV&GWOT’s care.  There is ample opportunity to meet Trustees and Supporters and ask questions.
